Salt Reduction

It happens to all of us. Sooner or later we add too much salt to one of our recipies and the result is inedible. Well, there's no need to despair. You can remove it, providing there is enough liquid in the dish.

Just peel and quarter a raw potato, drop it into the liquid and bring it to the boil. When the potato is cooked, remove it. It will have absorbed a good deal of the excess salt. You can, of course, keep repeating this excercise until the salt level is what you want it to be.
