Tip Of The Week
Microwave Lobster
There is an old school of thought which says
that lobster has to be cooked in a particular
way and that microwave ovens are for
heating soup. Don't listen to it.
Microwaves are used in many professional
kitchens much more than chefs are prepared to let on,
and that's because they are a brilliant way of producing
excellent results in record time. They are not some
form of short-cut, but a genuine alternative way of
cooking food, often to a perfection that is difficult to
attain using any other method.
With that in mind, lobster recipes will appear in this
section from time to time which are designed purely for
the microwave.
Lobster With Lemon Sauce
This recipe starts out with live lobster, which you either
have to be prepared to kill yourself, or get the fish
monger to do it for you and then rush home and get
cooking right away
