Juicing a Lemon
Before juicing a lemon, roll it backwards and forwards under the flat of your hand a couple of times with slight downward pressure.
This will release more of the juice and works especially well when you are preparing lemon wedges.
If your lemons are underripe, or a little on the dry side, you can also persuade them to provide more juice by soaking them in hot water for a few minutes.
