Find what you want
using the menus
There are two. The one above my
head is for the recipe pages. The
one below gives you access to a
variety of cooking articles, hints
and basic cooking skills that I have
put together over the years. You
will find these menus on every
page in this site.
How To Cook Cabbage
When I announced to some friends that I was
going to build a website on how to cook cabbage
it was some time before the laughter died down.
The general sentiment was, you cook it, you eat it.
What else is there? Find out below.
Broccoli
Broccoli, which is closely related to cauliflower, is
another of those vegetables much abused in many
kitchens. Much more delicate than it looks, it
responds well to quick but careful cooking.
Cabbage
Cabbage recipes are in fairly short supply in most
recipe books, which is a shame because it's a very
versatile vegetable and delicious when properly
cooked. Help yourself to any of the tried and trusted
recipies here, where cabbage is the main ingredient.
Cauliflower
If the only cauliflower recipe in your kitchen is for
cauliflower with cheese sauce, you really need this
page. This is a great vegetable and deserves careful
treatment. Above all, never, ever overcook it.
Spinach
Spinach is one of those green vegetables we learn to
love as we get older. Persuading kids to eat it takes
Popeye, Bluto and Olive Oyl. Or maybe one of the
recipes on this page.
